So Many Colors. . . How do I choose?
There are so many color options available to modern people. With the advent of synthetic pigments, we can recreate any color imaginable. So, how do we actually choose a color?
Paint Cincy offers Color Consultation to identify which colors are best suited for your particular home and lifestyle. Color Consultation is more art than science but does indeed contain some science. (See our Choosing a Paint Color article below.)
Our color consultation consists of exploring your project space, taking note of both natural and artificial light sources, identifying which colors best serve the psychological and practical functions of the room, and finding patterns that best fit into the overall architectural and color palette of the entire home. We will not provide endless choices, but narrow down the decision to one of three potential schemes.
Our business standard practices utilize flat white for ceiling color, matte or flat for non-wet walls, eggshell or satin for wet walls, and satin or semi-gloss for trim. Most trim we encounter is white, but there have been several instances where we see trim in earthen tones. Our article below discusses the rationale behind these choice if you are interested.
Expect the color consultation to take 1-1.5 hours in home, then a 30 minute follow up virtually where we review the recommended color schema and answer any final questions.
